Jennifer Conklin has worked in the Sumner School District for 12 years and has spent most of those years working as a Paraeducator at Daffodil Valley Elementary. She is a loving wife to her husband Steve, and mother to her two daughters Elli and Daisy. Anyone that knows Jennifer knows that she has the most positive spirit and is constantly loving to those around her. Jennifer has a special heart for serving others and that is why she has dedicated her career to helping our young students in the Sumner – Bonney Lake School District.
It was this past August when Jennifer suddenly started suffering from headaches and blurred vision. The symptoms increasingly worsened and doctors determined that Jennifer was suffering from a suspicious mass located in her cavernous sinus. This has caused nerve damage resulting in double vision. She underwent surgery to biopsy the mass which was determined to be non-cancerous. Unfortunately, it was also determined that it would be too dangerous to remove the mass due to its location. Since August, Jennifer has not been able to work, drive, or participate in activities which she has always loved doing, including running. Jennifer is a fighter and refuses to give up! Her spirits are good despite all that she is going through. All proceeds raised will go towards Jennifer and her family to support their current situation.
